Solar Modules & Glass

In organic thin film coating on module surface → improved efficiency

- Protection of module surface: anti-corrosion and anti-scratch coating => longer service life

- Self-cleaning (cleaning by rainfall) => less reduction in efficiency (Efficiency increase by 7% - Asahi Kasei, 2009)

- Higher transmittance and less reflection: 10% greater power generation

- Coating enables use of ordinary tempered glass => cost savings & product differentiation

   between premium module (low Fe glass) and ordinary module (ordinary glass)

- Eco-friendly: No need to use chemicals to clean module surface

- Decrease in infrared light transmittance => less hot spot phenomenon

   (0.45% decrease in output when T increases by 1℃) => higher efficiency

Permanent Marker Test

Permanent marker ink does not attach to hydrophilic coating on the solar module. As a result, ink is easily removed by water. 

Antifogging & Haze Coating

On the coated surface, water does not condense in the form of small droplets due to hydrophilicity of the surface.
